Bald Mountain Health Measures in the time of COVID-19

Elohee is a place of gathering, community, connection, and healing cradled in the arms of mother earth.  We are blessed to have outdoor spaces, hiking trails, and spots for quiet reflection for all to explore and connect with nature.

We will do our best to continue to offer an environment that fosters a feeling of safety that our guests have come to know.  As we prepare for reopening, we want to share with you the guidelines we are following to help ensure the safety and comfort level of our guests and staff.

Arrival Procedures

We will take the temperature of each guest arriving.  If their temperature is above 100.4F the guest will not be allowed to participate in the retreat, nor will anyone in the car traveling with them.  They will receive a credit voucher to attend another retreat at Elohee.

Staff will shuttle guests from their cars in the parking lot to their rooms.  Staff will be wearing masks, and hand sanitizer will be provided for guest use.

 Dining

Our head kitchen staff are ServSafe certified, as required by law. All kitchen staff will follow standard ServSafe protocols for proper food preparation, storage, and service.  They will also wear masks or face shields that will be cleaned after every shift.  Each staff member will have their temperature taken before each shift.  If they are ill, they will not be allowed to work.

Our buffet service will be adjusted to follow FDA/CDC/Georgia Restaurant Association recommendations:

·        Elohee kitchen staff members will be masked and gloved and will plate the food from the buffet in a cafeteria-style service.

·        Guests will not be allowed to serve themselves.

·        Silverware will be wrapped in single service napkins instead of self-service bins.

·        Tables and dining room surfaces will be cleaned after each meal service.

If there is more than one retreat on Bald Mountain and the participant numbers are greater than 25 people, we will implement staggered mealtimes so that no more than 25 people will be dining at the same time.  We provide indoor and outdoor seating.

Guest Lodging

Elohee has implemented an additional pricing tier for guest lodging.  This is a mid-range option for guests who do not want to share a bathroom, but do not want to incur the expense of a private room/private bathroom.  The options are as follows:

  • Private Room/Private Bathroom en suite (Single Occupancy- 1 king or 2 twin beds)
  • Private Room/Private Bathroom en suite (Double Occupancy- 1 king or 2 twin beds)
  • Small Private Room (1 twin bed)/private bathroom directly outside room). Please contact us for pricing.
  • Small Private Room(1 twin bed)/Shared Bathroom

Italics option is the new tier.  Please contact us for room block and pricing options.

Our rooms are cleaned by Amy’s Green Cleaning and they have taken additional measures to create a clean and healthy environment for our guests.

 Meeting Rooms and Common Spaces

We will have hand sanitizer in each meeting space.  Doorknobs and surfaces will be wiped down daily with disinfectant.  While Elohee provides several props for yoga and meditation, it will be up to the facilitator and guests to decide if they feel comfortable using them.  We will provide disinfectant spray and paper towels for participants to clean yoga mats and yoga blocks, but the other props (blankets, bolsters, cushions and chairs) will not be cleaned in between uses.  Guests are encouraged to bring their own props if appropriate.

 Massage and Reiki Services

Service offerings will depend on therapist availability and guest comfort level.
