Our expanded facilities on Bald Mountain are now open offering space for up to 50 overnight guests in 7 cottages, three communal spaces including a tea house and two meeting spaces as well as an intimate dining hall where we offer locally sourced, organic meals made with care.
At Elohee each structural facility is anchored in a way that allows us to enjoy a specific eco-niche. This conscious partnership with the Earth and nature aids in personal transformation by strengthening our connection to the force of evolution.
Life requires a balance between order and chaos. If life were totally orderly, always following the same rules, there would be no room for anything new. However, if Life didn’t follow set rules, chaos would ensue. Thus, we live in a world balanced between order and chaos. At this dynamic balance point, entirely new behaviors that could not have been predicted suddenly emerge.
This phenomenon is found at all levels of Creation. Thus, each eco-niche sustains even as it simultaneously demands change.
The ecosystems of the Blue Ridge Mountains are exceptionally diverse. They range from forested, deep-soiled valleys to exposed barren ridges, green mountain tops as well as bald peaks. At Elohee we have planned our facilities to highlight these different niches and dynamic energies, so that we may move easily with Nature in discovering our own personal edge – where our growth is new and tender, where transformation is just emerging.
Everybody needs beauty as well as bread, places to play in and pray in, where nature may heal and give strength to body and soul alike. – John Muir
