Elaine Dinos is the Founder of Kindred Lane and mother of three young boys, who are her daily inspiration for Kindred Lane’s purpose of sparking healthy growth in people and organizations.
Before founding Kindred Lane, Elaine spent over a decade working at Korn Ferry, a global people and organizational advisory firm, where she was a Principal in the firm’s Marketing Center of Expertise and creator of the firm’s Purpose Community which grew to over 200 employees who collaborated in bringing purpose and conscious business practices to clients and the firm. Her research study, People on a Mission (Korn Ferry Institute 2016) is recognized as a groundbreaking study in how authentic purpose inside a company enables long-term business success.
Four years ago, Elaine experienced a SPARK; a profound realization that she was longing for more. The way she was working and the way she wanted to live her life had been drifting apart. The pace she was keeping wasn’t sustainable. Struggling to balance a high-performance work environment and the intensity of returning to work after having her second child; something needed to shift. In the beginning of 2016 that shift occurred. In the course of a week, she had a meaningful reconnection of her work with her values, coming together with a community of kindred spirits, and taking time to pause and deeply nourish herself. In that time she felt a powerful SPARK, finally giving herself permission to slow down – to nourish, energize, and restore herself. In doing so, she reconnected with her roots – her values, purpose and the beliefs that ignited her at her core. Ever since, she has been reconnecting the parts of her life that had previously drifted apart. With a loving spirit, curiosity for exploration, and help from kindred spirits along the way, her path continues to be revealed. As this further shapes her life and brings deep fulfillment, it also shapes the growing collection of experiences and teachings we share at Kindred Lane. This ethos is at the core of Kindred Lane’s methodology, Wisdom of the Forest®, honoring the truths we have discovered in working with purpose-driven organizations and leaders, a community of kindred spirits and our personal journeys to living with abundance.
